AmpTec and Cold Jet attended packaging conference

AmpTec and Cold Jet participated in the recent Thin Wall Packaging Asia conference held at the Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel in Singapore from 20 to 21 September. Those that attended the event include Mr Ken Teng, MD of AmpTec and Mr Jan Cloots, Director of Cold Jet Europe.

Organised by Applied Market Information (AMI), the conference was aimed at industry players in thermoformed and injection moulded packaging. The conference addressed future packaging demands, technology, and market trends. Some new requirements are expected to drive the development of fast-cycle lightweight packaging, barrier packaging for long-life products and packaging with superior decoration. Thin wall plastic packaging like tubs, cups, pots, trays and clamshells, provides a means of supplying consumer appeal, convenience and product protection.

AmpTec is pleased to demonstrate dry ice blasting on aerospace components during a visit by the Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) Teo Chee Hean at A*STAR’s Advanced Remanufacturing Technology Centre (ARTC) on 16 June 2016. A member of ARTC, AmpTec in partnership with ARTC, has developed a dry ice blasting system to test-clean on a variety of aerospace components.

The visit by the DPM is to showcase synergistic projects by members of the manufacturing industry in support of the Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering (AME) domain under the RIE 2020 (Research, Innovation, and Enterprise 2020) initiative by the National Research Foundation of the Prime Minister’s Office.

Nanyang Polytechnic Technology Transfer Seminar on 18 September 2015

A technology transfer seminar for the plastic injection moulding industry was held at Nanyang Polytechnic in September. The seminar was conducted by industry leaders from Europe, namely Germany and Austria, and Singapore. Representatives from ABURG, Wacker, and 2KM from Germany, RICO from Austria, and AmpTec from Singapore presented at the event.

Topics covered include developments, applications, design and considerations on Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR) Injection Moulding. Hot mould designs as well as dry ice technology and its applications for mould maintenance were also covered. The seminar was well-attended by many industry members from the manufacturing industry.

Jetty Industrial Cleaning on 12 June 2015

On 12 June 2015, AmpTec organised an industrial cleaning seminar launching Jetty, the duct cleaning robot for the industry. Hosting members of the industry from various sectors such as hospitality, pharmaceutical to building maintenance, the event was supported by our partners, Cold Jet LLC USA and Neovision, S.R.O., from Czech Republic and was held at the ARTC’s facility at CleanTech Two.

A member company of ARTC, AmpTec participated in its inaugural launch on 28 January 2015

On 28 January 2015, AmpTec participated in the facility launch of the Advanced Remanufacturing Technology Centre (ARTC), an event that was witnessed by major manufacturing industry leaders and leading government agencies. Officiated by Mr S Iswaran Minister, Prime Minister’s Office, Second Minister for Home Affairs and Second Minister for Trade and Industry), ARTC is Asia’s first centre for test bedding and developing remanufacturing technologies.

AmpTec was one of the member companies that were invited for the press conference as well as the launch.
